Buchholz HS Band - Alex Kaminsky “After Gary presented the program to the band parents, they decided it wouldn’t work in Gainesville; too much unemployment, economy was bad, prices too high. Based on Gary’s confidence, I over-rode the band parents and the band did it anyway. We kind of casually approached the fundraiser and we “accidently” made a lot of money. Because of that, the second year, we eliminated some of our other fundraisers and I told the kids they were sitting on a “Gold Mine”. The second year we took it seriously, did everything Gary recommended to us and with at least 15 fewer students we sold 42% MORE items and made 38% MORE profit.
